Primary Care Physician (Flex Clinic)
Duties include but are not limited to: Reports directly to the Associate Chief of Staff, Primary Care and Community Medicine at James H. Quillen VAMC, Mountain Home, TN Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of the James H. Quillen VAMC. Maintains clinical proficiency and familiarity with the Computerized Patient Record System while providing continuity of care for a panel of patients. Establish and maintain a collegial relationship with other clinic staff. Maintains a safe environment for staff and patients conducive to maintaining patient satisfaction and staff morale. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:45am - 4:30pm) Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Travel: 50-75% Frequent travel to outlying CBOCs is required. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
